What Happens When One Server Becomes a Single Point of Failure?

SAP/Cloud Migration·#BLAST

A single evolving topology dashboard on the Master Fuse Box metaphor: wiring a ten-story building to one $2 basement fuse means one blown fuse goes dark everywhere. In Mode A, 20 stateless web nodes and a single ingress proxy all depend on one un-replicated primary database — dragging 'Inject DB Memory Leak' radiates a red shockwave into every node for a 100% blast radius and total outage (Uptime Institute: 80% of major outages are preventable). Toggling 'Enable Cellular Isolation' morphs the fabric into three independent cells, each with its own app nodes and DB replica, trapping the failure inside Cell A so Cells B and C stay green — collapsing the blast radius to 33% and availability back to 67%.

LIVE SIMULATION

SIMULATION SPEC
CONCEPTBlast radius containment — a monolithic single point (20 web nodes + 1 ingress on ONE un-replicated DB) fails company-wide, while cellular fault isolation traps the same failure inside one cell
CAPTURE SOURCEEmbedded (React + framer-motion)
SLIDER PARAMSInject DB Memory Leak slider cascades Mode A from healthy to 100% blast radius; Enable Cellular Isolation slider morphs Mode A → Mode C (3 cells) across Hook → Single Point → Fuse Box → Cellular → CTA
OUTPUT METRICBlast radius (100% → 33%), nodes down (20 → 7), primary DB state, cells online (2/3), system availability (0% → 67%)

HOW THIS RUNS

This is a live, interactive recreation embedded directly on the page — not a static diagram. Step through the scenes above to watch traffic reroute across the tiers in real time. The embedded simulation is recorded on screen, and that capture becomes the content.
